IDENTITY

Conversation, Collaboration, and Action for the Ocean

Researchers, communities, organizations, companies, and creators working together for marine regeneration.

Azul Pacífico is a platform that connects science, community, conservation, art, and innovation to promote marine regeneration in Baja California Sur. We believe that the challenges facing the ocean require collaboration across different sectors, creating spaces where knowledge, culture, and action converge to generate real impact.

Every year, the Azul Pacífico Forum brings together researchers, organizations, community leaders, artists, businesses, and citizens for three days to explore the relationship between the ocean and our daily lives. Through conversations, experiences, and collaborative projects, we seek to inspire a more conscious and responsible connection with the sea that defines our identity, our territory, and our future.

FORUM 2026

There is no single way to understand the sea

June 25, 26, and 27

Over the course of three days, the forum brings together voices from the fields of science, coastal communities, conservation, the private sector, public institutions, art, and culture to foster conversations that reflect the complexity of the marine-coastal region. Rather than seeking single answers, Azul Pacífico creates a space to listen, learn, and build shared understandings, where different perspectives can come together to envision the future of the Gulf of California and the communities that depend on it.

HOW WE OPERATE

Three interconnected structural functions

Multisectoral coordination

1

We build and manage strategic partnerships between sectors that have historically been disconnected—facilitating cross-sectoral dialogues, mapping stakeholders, and identifying shared collaborative agendas.

Capacity Building

2

We identify and support existing initiatives with the potential for scaling up, providing technical, financial, and networking resources to maximize their collective impact.

Facilitating Solutions

3

We turn collaborative visions into actionable projects with measurable results, impact monitoring, and systematic documentation of lessons learned.
